Aon appoints Guy Clarkson as head of online for health solutions in the UK

Guy Clarkson, head of Online for Health Solutions, AON in the UK

Aon has appointed Guy Clarkson as head of Online for Health Solutions in the UK, strengthening its focus on digital employee benefits and workplace health technology.

The global professional services firm announced the appointment on 10 March 2026. Clarkson will report to Chris Simmons, head of Health Solutions in the UK for Aon, and will join the UK Health executive team.

Clarkson brings nearly 20 years of experience in digital growth, client management and technology-enabled benefits solutions. He joins Aon from Mercer Marsh Benefits, where he served as UK digital growth leader from 2019. In that role, he oversaw digital revenue, sales capability and go-to-market execution across the region.

In his new position, Clarkson will lead Aon’s Online health team and drive the company’s digital strategy for employee health and benefits. The role includes developing technology-led solutions designed to improve how employees access and engage with workplace health support.

The appointment reflects the growing importance of digital platforms in workplace wellbeing. Many employers are investing in technology to help employees access health information, benefits and support services more easily, particularly as organisations look to improve engagement with wellbeing programmes and preventative health initiatives.

Clarkson will also work with leaders across Aon’s health offering to shape regional and global technology strategy. This includes strengthening the way organisations use digital tools to deliver benefits, health services and employee experience programmes.

Chris Simmons said Clarkson’s experience would support Aon’s ambitions to expand its digital health capabilities.

The move comes as organisations increasingly seek technology-driven approaches to workplace health and wellbeing. Digital benefits platforms are being used to simplify access to services such as mental health support, health assessments and wellbeing resources, while giving employers better insight into workforce health trends.

Aon operates in more than 120 countries, providing risk, retirement and health solutions to businesses worldwide. The company says its approach combines analytics, human capital expertise and local market knowledge to help organisations make better decisions about workforce health, risk and benefits.

As employers continue to address rising health costs, workforce wellbeing and employee experience, digital health platforms are expected to play a larger role in shaping how workplace health support is delivered across the UK.
