Health Partners, the UK’s largest occupational health provider, has entered a strategic partnership with private equity firm Warburg Pincus in a deal valuing the business at over £300 million.

Founded in 2016, Health Partners offers full absenteeism management; spanning assessment, treatment and prevention and serves more than 700 organisations across the UK and Ireland.

The deal will support Health Partners’ next growth stage, prioritising investment in proprietary IT systems, digital health services and data-driven care, all while maintaining its high clinical standards.

Co-founders Andrew Noble (CEO) and Dr Alasdair Emslie (CMO) will continue to lead the company. And they said:

“We created Health Partners to make a difference to people – our colleagues and our clients’ employees alike. By putting people first, we want to show how occupational health can be done better and have a lasting impact on people’s lives. We are thrilled to partner with Warburg Pincus for this exciting phase of growth as we continue to advance workplace healthcare to make a measurable difference to the quality of people’s health and wellbeing.”

Warburg Pincus’s Max Fowinkel added:

“Andrew, Alasdair and the team have a tremendous track record and have built Health Partners from the ground up into an exceptional business. We share their vision to create the UK’s number one integrated employee health provider. Together, we will accelerate the company’s next phase of growth and technology innovation, ultimately making the lives and health of many millions of UK employees better.”

The firm noted that Health Partners employs over 1,300 clinicians and support staff and currently supports services that reach more than three million employees.
