Excel London appoints first Chief People Officer to strengthen people and culture strategy

Excel London has appointed Helene Sharrock as its first Chief People Officer, a newly created executive role, designed to strengthen the venue’s people and culture strategy as it pursues long-term growth.
The appointment marks a significant step in Excel’s plans to invest further in its workforce and support its mission to become the best event destination in the world. It follows a review of the organisation’s People & Culture function and reflects a wider industry shift towards embedding people strategy at Executive level.
Sharrock joins from her role as Chief People Officer at The Jockey Club and brings experience from senior positions at Marks & Spencer, BT, ESPN and ITN. At Excel, she will lead people strategy, organisational development and initiatives designed to enhance workplace culture, employee experience and alignment with Excel’s purpose, mission and values.
