The Well Crowd launches national awards to celebrate excellence in workplace wellbeing

The Well Crowd has announced the launch of its 2026 Excellence in Workplace Wellbeing Awards – a new national programme recognising innovation, impact and leadership across the UK’s growing wellbeing sector.
Designed to champion the individuals, organisations and providers driving meaningful change in employee health and happiness, the awards aim to highlight outstanding initiatives that go beyond tick-box wellbeing. They celebrate the projects and people delivering measurable improvements in physical, mental, social and financial wellbeing across workplaces of all sizes.
Entries open this month, with an early bird deadline of 30 January 2026 and a final deadline of 20 February 2026. The shortlist will be revealed on 3 April, and winners announced on 29 April 2026.
The Well Crowd said the awards will recognise stories of “expertise, creativity, results and impact” – showcasing the UK’s leading workplace wellbeing providers.
Submissions must include evidence of measurable outcomes, innovation and sustainability, with case studies and testimonials encouraged to demonstrate real-world results.
The awards span 14 categories, designed to reflect the breadth of workplace wellbeing today. These include:
- Innovation in Workplace Wellbeing, rewarding solutions that challenge conventional approaches and deliver measurable change.
- Best Mental Health Support Provider, highlighting programmes that reduce stigma and improve access to support.
- Best Physical Wellness Programme, recognising initiatives that engage staff in fitness, nutrition and preventative health.
- Excellence in Workplace Integration, for wellbeing programmes successfully embedded in large organisations.
- Best Digital Wellbeing Platform, celebrating technology that enhances accessibility and personalisation.
- Best Financial Wellbeing Solution, for tools that improve financial literacy and reduce money-related stress.
- Best SME Wellbeing Solution, showcasing scalable approaches tailored to small and medium-sized businesses.
- Most Inclusive Wellbeing Solution, recognising services that promote equity, neurodiversity and accessibility.
- Social Impact in Wellbeing, for programmes that strengthen workplace connection and belonging.
Special recognition categories will also honour individuals shaping the sector, including
- Rising Star
- Independent Provider
- Independent Wellbeing Consultant of the Year
- Wellbeing Leadership Award
- Wellbeing Research & Development Award, celebrating those advancing evidence-based practice and innovation.
The Well Crowd said the awards will help establish new benchmarks for credibility and impact in workplace wellbeing. Each submission will be judged on its evidence base, inclusivity, and ability to demonstrate tangible results such as reduced absenteeism, improved resilience, or higher engagement.
Speaking about the launch, The Well Crowd’s CEO, Natalie Shears, said:
“These awards are about elevating the standard of workplace wellbeing. We’re looking for those who go beyond good intentions to deliver measurable impact – the individuals and organisations who are reimagining what workplace wellbeing can achieve.”
The judging criteria emphasise not only outcomes but also sustainability, inclusion and scalability, reflecting the growing expectation that wellbeing initiatives should be embedded within organisational culture and strategy, rather than delivered as one-off benefits or events.
The Well Crowd’s mission is to elevate workplace wellbeing through shared learning, collaboration and recognition. By launching these awards, the platform aims to connect leaders and innovators across sectors and create a showcase of best practice for employers nationwide.
The announcement follows a period of significant growth in the UK’s workplace wellbeing market, with employers increasingly prioritising health, inclusion and purpose-driven engagement as part of business strategy.
