GoJoe and Epassi partner to boost workplace health and productivity

Digital wellbeing platform GoJoe has partnered with Epassi UK, Europe’s leading gym discount provider, to give businesses across the UK and Europe a combined digital and physical approach to employee wellbeing.
The collaboration brings together GoJoe’s gamified app, which motivates users through team challenges, social connection and rewards, with Epassi’s network of discounted gyms and fitness classes. The aim is to make wellbeing benefits more accessible and help tackle growing inactivity rates among working adults.
According to NHS England, a third of adults are not active enough for it to benefit their health, while a quarter are classed as inactive. Physical inactivity contributes to poor mental health and lost productivity through absence and presenteeism.
Data from WPI Economics reinforces the connection between wellbeing and performance, showing that 80 per cent of employees are more productive when they feel physically and mentally well. GoJoe’s own research found that 62 per cent of users reported higher productivity and 73 per cent experienced improved wellbeing within two weeks of using the platform.
Will Turner, CEO and co-founder of GoJoe, said:
“Partnering with Epassi enables us to offer businesses a comprehensive benefit to help their people be more active, get healthier, and boost productivity.”
Matt Russell, CEO of Zest and Epassi UK, added:
“Providing good physical and mental wellbeing initiatives is now non-negotiable in modern workplaces. This partnership will boost access to wellbeing benefits and help employers offer better value to their people.”
Helen Jagger, founder of wellbeing company thriveologie and WELL-accredited professional, said:
“Blended wellbeing models like this resonate because they reflect how people actually live, which is switching between digital and physical spaces. People don’t generally look for wellbeing in one place, they tend to move between different ecosystems, so it needs to be as frictionless as possible, as well as being social and genuinely inclusive.”
“It’s good to see that employers are realising that prevention aids productivity, as when they invest in this, they’re not just reducing potential health risks, they’re helping to build energy, focus and greater capability across their workforces. Enhanced productivity lies in helping people stay well, not just supporting them when they’re unwell. It’s what keeps people engaged, creative and resilient.”
By blending digital engagement with in-person access to gyms and classes, GoJoe and Epassi aim to help employers enhance their wellbeing propositions while supporting long-term health and performance.
