Avado and Wellhub partnership reflects growing convergence of learning and workplace wellbeing

Avado and Wellhub have launched what they describe as the UK’s first professional HR qualification programme to integrate workplace wellbeing support directly into accredited learning.
Under the partnership, every new UK learner enrolling in an Avado CIPD qualification from 5 May 2026 will receive access to a Wellhub membership at no additional cost. The initiative combines professional development with wellbeing support spanning fitness, mindfulness, sleep and nutrition.
The move reflects a broader shift taking place across workplace wellbeing, where support is increasingly being positioned not simply as an employee perk, but as part of how organisations sustain performance, engagement and long-term workforce health.
Traditionally offered through employers as part of workplace benefits strategies, Wellhub’s platform gives users access to gyms, studios, mindfulness apps, including Headspace and Calm, nutrition tools such as MyFitnessPal, and live and on-demand wellbeing content.
For Avado, the partnership forms part of a wider strategy to support HR and learning professionals beyond qualification outcomes alone. Alongside its CIPD programmes, the company has expanded career and peer-support initiatives through its Avado Connect networking platform and Career Accelerator programme.
Alexis Regan, CEO at Avado, said: “For more than a decade, Avado has supported HR and L&D professionals to grow their careers, and this partnership represents the next evolution of that support.
“We wanted to go beyond the traditional learning experience and give our learners access to tools that genuinely support how they perform every day — from fitness and sleep to mindfulness and recovery. This partnership with Wellhub allows us to do exactly that, while setting a new standard for professional learning in the UK.”
The announcement also highlights how wellbeing platforms are increasingly moving beyond traditional employee benefits models and becoming embedded into wider workforce infrastructure, including learning, development and career progression.
Miguel de Apellaniz, VP and UK Country Lead at Wellhub, said: “At Wellhub, we believe wellbeing and performance are deeply connected.
“This partnership gives HR and L&D professionals the opportunity to experience the Wellhub Effect firsthand while advancing their careers. These are the people shaping employee experience and wellbeing strategies inside organisations every day. By embedding wellbeing directly into the learning journey, we’re helping professionals not only support their own performance, but better understand the impact wellbeing can have across the workforce.”
As part of the collaboration, the two organisations also plan to launch a wider programme of industry activity over the coming year, including a Healthy Minds, High Growth live event series, webinars focused on sustainable performance and resilience, and a co-authored report exploring workplace growth and wellbeing trends in the UK.
