PE-backed Latus Group acquires Euro Environmental to expand occupational hygiene offer

Private equity-backed occupational services provider Latus Group has strengthened its occupational hygiene capability with the acquisition of Doncaster-based Euro Environmental.
The deal marks Latus Group’s fourth acquisition since securing investment from NorthEdge in July 2024, as the Hull-headquartered business continues to scale its workplace health platform.
Euro Environmental provides occupational hygiene services including workplace exposure monitoring, indoor air quality testing and noise assessments, alongside related compliance support for organisations across the UK.
The acquisition supports the continued growth of Latus Group’s Hygiene division, which the company says has delivered year-on-year growth of 50 per cent. Alongside occupational hygiene, Latus provides occupational health, health surveillance and wider wellbeing services.
Jack Latus, chief executive of Latus Group, described the deal as “another important milestone in our mission to modernise workplace healthcare and improve employee health outcomes across the UK.”
He added that NorthEdge’s backing was enabling the business to “accelerate growth across our platform and strengthen our ability to meet rising customer demand.”
Latus said: “Occupational hygiene is a strategic growth area for us. Like Latus, Euro Environmental Limited has a strong reputation for expertise, quality and service. By bringing our businesses together, we’re able to provide our clients with market-leading end-to-end workplace health solutions and service the increasing demand for Latus Hygiene services nationally.”
NorthEdge partner Phil Frame said: “The acquisition of Euro Environmental Limited is another strong example of the business delivering on its strategy to scale its platform and continually enhance the quality and breadth of services available to its clients.”
Since receiving NorthEdge investment just over 18 months ago, Latus Group has also acquired occupational health and hygiene provider Peritus Health Management and occupational health services firm OH Services. The group has additionally launched its proprietary health platform, Yodha.
The move reflects growing demand among UK employers for integrated occupational health and hygiene services, as organisations face increased regulatory scrutiny and heightened awareness of workplace exposure risks.
For UK businesses, occupational hygiene services such as air quality monitoring, noise assessments and exposure testing are central to protecting employee health, reducing sickness absence and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
By expanding its hygiene division, Latus Group is positioning itself to offer a broader end-to-end workplace health proposition at a time when employers are under pressure to demonstrate proactive management of workplace health risks.
