Blueprint Interiors enters new era as long-standing directors take ownership

Blueprint Interiors has announced a major change in ownership, with operations director Rachel Biddles and creative director Chloe Sproston taking the helm of the Leicestershire-based workplace design firm. The move marks a natural succession as founder and chairman, Rob Day, steps back from day-to-day operations after 23 years leading the company.
The transition, three years in planning, comes as Blueprint celebrates a record year of trading in which it secured several high-profile projects. The firm, known for its people-centred design philosophy and alignment with the WELL Building Standard, will continue to focus on creating workplaces that enhance wellbeing and productivity.
Biddles and Sproston have deep roots within the company, having served for 22 and 19 years respectively. Both have played a key role in Blueprint’s growth, leading on strategy, design and delivery for clients across sectors.
Rachel Biddles said:
“It’s wonderful to be able to share this news with the industry. It feels like a natural transition for Chloe and me, having been part of the business for so long. With a very busy order book and major projects ahead, we’re excited to keep driving innovation and quality in workplace design, which is what Blueprint is known for.”
Chloe Sproston added that the company’s culture of creativity and collaboration remains at the heart of its future:
“Rob has passionately created a vibrant company with strong ethics and values. We’ve always had a clear sense of who we are at Blueprint and our desire to provide the best experience for clients. To now be co-owners is incredibly rewarding. We’re grateful to Rob for his trust, and to the dedicated team who make Blueprint what it is.”
Founded in 2001, Blueprint Interiors has built a reputation for designing spaces that put people’s health, engagement and performance first. The company’s approach blends interior architecture, behavioural science and technology to create environments where employees can thrive.
Chairman and founder Rob Day said he was proud to see the business move into its next chapter:
“This has been a long time in the planning and I feel grateful and proud that Chloe and Rachel will now take the business forward. They’ve been instrumental in shaping the company we have today, so it couldn’t be in better hands. Their ambition, vision and talent ensure Blueprint’s continued success.”
Day will remain involved as chair and continue leading Blueprint’s community and social value initiatives, a growing focus for the company, alongside workplace transformation projects.
The leadership change comes at a time when demand for wellbeing-driven design is growing rapidly. Blueprint’s work follows the WELL Building Standard, which sets benchmarks for physical and mental health in the built environment. The company says its mission will remain the same: to help businesses reimagine offices as spaces that nurture people as well as performance.
