This study explores how ethical leadership can improve employee wellbeing in high-pressure environments like construction. It shows that leaders who act fairly, show integrity, and genuinely care about their teams can positively influence how employees feel at work. A key finding is that this happens through perceived organisational support, when employees feel valued and supported, their wellbeing improves. The research highlights that leadership behaviour alone isn’t enough; it must translate into real, everyday support. Overall, it reinforces the importance of trust, fairness, and visible support in shaping healthier workplace experiences.

This research highlights that leadership only improves wellbeing when it is backed by real organisational support.
