Vistra partners with G-P to simplify global hiring and cross-border workforce expansion

Vistra has announced a strategic partnership with global employment platform G-P aimed at helping companies expand internationally more easily by bridging employer of record (EOR) hiring and full legal entity setup.
The partnership is designed to remove friction for mid-sized companies that test new markets through EOR hiring before committing to permanent operations. The joint solution allows organisations to hire internationally using G-P’s global employment platform before transitioning to locally established entities managed by Vistra without changing providers.
For employers navigating increasingly global workforces, the move reflects growing demand for simpler ways to hire, pay and manage talent across borders while maintaining compliance with local employment regulations.
According to the Vistra Payroll Report 2026, cross-border work is already a significant reality for many organisations. On average, 32 per cent of employees in surveyed firms are paid across borders, rising to 41 per cent in large organisations. More than two thirds (69 per cent) of companies say they plan to expand cross-border hiring in the next 12 months.
Global workforce mobility is also reshaping how organisations approach HR, payroll and compliance. In the United States, 38 per cent of payroll leaders say employee mobility has the biggest impact on payroll processes, while 76 per cent expect international hiring to increase.
Curtis Holmes, Executive Vice President at Vistra, said the partnership aims to support businesses throughout the entire international expansion process.
“Each company’s expansion journey is unique. Partnering with G-P allows us to support clients from their first overseas hire through to fully established operations,” Holmes said.
The integrated model allows companies to move from early market testing to fully established international operations while maintaining continuity across HR, payroll and compliance systems. Employee data, payroll and compliance responsibilities can transfer under a single contract and through a single contact point, reducing the need for multiple vendor agreements.
For employers, this approach could help reduce administrative complexity and speed up international workforce deployment — a factor that increasingly affects employee experience, operational efficiency and organisational wellbeing in globally distributed teams.
Lori McNally, Senior Vice President, Partners, G-P, said the partnership aims to make international growth more accessible.
“Many companies want to expand internationally without committing to permanent structures too early. Together with Vistra, we’re helping turn that ambition into action. This partnership gives organizations a clear, low-friction way to hire, onboard and manage talent quickly and compliantly today, with the flexibility to scale into long-term operations when the time is right.”
The joint solution is now available globally, supporting companies expanding their workforces across multiple jurisdictions.
