A framework for workplace suicide prevention

BSI’s BS 30480 – Suicide and the Workplace provides a framework to help organisations develop a more informed, compassionate and coordinated approach to suicide prevention and support. The standard covers prevention, intervention and postvention, helping employers understand how to recognise and respond to potential risks, support employees experiencing a crisis and provide appropriate care following a suicide. It also encourages organisations to address stigma, strengthen workplace policies and equip managers and employees with the awareness and support pathways needed to respond appropriately.
