Ultimate Performance partners with Emerald to integrate preventative healthcare into personal training

Premium personal training company Ultimate Performance has partnered with preventative healthcare platform Emerald to combine personalised fitness programmes with clinical health screening, medical support and ongoing health monitoring.
The partnership will give Ultimate Performance members access to a 12-month Emerald membership, including comprehensive blood testing, personalised health plans and GP support, as the two companies seek to connect physical fitness with a broader understanding of long-term health.
The agreement reflects growing commercial interest in preventative healthcare models that combine lifestyle interventions, health data and clinical oversight, with potential implications for the wider workplace health and wellbeing market.
Ultimate Performance operates 12 locations across the UK, providing one-to-one strength training, tailored nutrition plans, progress tracking and personal coaching.
Under the partnership, members will be able to access blood tests that measure up to 124 health biomarkers, covering areas including cardiovascular and metabolic health, hormones, inflammation, organ function, iron status and nutritional indicators.
Emerald’s platform brings laboratory results, wearable data and individual health histories together, providing members with a more comprehensive view of their health over time.
Members will also be paired with a GP who can provide medical advice, treatment, prescriptions and referrals into private or NHS care where appropriate.
The companies said the additional health information would help Ultimate Performance’s personal trainers tailor training and nutritional recommendations more closely to individual needs.
Alexander Badalyan, Co-Founder and CEO of Emerald, said: “This partnership with one of the UK’s most prestigious fitness brands will enhance access to preventative healthcare approaches that provide members with greater control over their long-term health.
“Ultimate Performance members can now combine their fitness journey with Emerald’s simple healthcare tool that provides a more holistic view of their health, highlights potential issues at an earlier stage and unlocks access to guidance from trusted medical experts.”
The partnership follows a period of expansion for Emerald, which reports that its membership has increased tenfold since the beginning of 2026 and that it has processed more than 100,000 laboratory tests.
Emerald recently secured an additional £1.4 million in funding, including backing from Innovate UK, to support commercial expansion and further development of its products and clinical services.
Sean Murphy, Chief Personal Trainer at Ultimate Performance, said: “The wellness market is flooded with devices and products that generate data about your health. But data alone is not going to improve your health. What really makes a difference is understanding where you are starting from, and then having the expertise, accountability and practical tools to do something about it.
“Emerald gives you a detailed snapshot of your health at that moment in time, while U.P. gives you access to world-class personal trainers who can help you turn that information into action through structured strength training and accountability.”
From a human sustainability perspective, the broader opportunity lies in helping people understand and manage health risks earlier, while supporting their ability to remain healthy and active throughout their working lives.
