Personal Group and Simplyhealth expand partnership to widen employee healthcare access

Personal Group has extended its partnership with Simplyhealth in a move that could give up to one million more people access to health and wellbeing services through their workplace benefits.
Simplyhealth’s On Demand services will be integrated into Personal Group’s Hapi employee benefits platform, giving employees access to services including physiotherapy, mental health support, women’s and men’s health, nutrition, diagnostic testing and neurodiversity assessments.
The agreement will also allow Simplyhealth to offer the Hapi platform to its own employer clients, widening access to Personal Group’s benefits and employee engagement technology.
Personal Group said integrating the services into Hapi would allow employees to find health support alongside their existing workplace benefits rather than having to navigate separate services and providers.
Simplyhealth On Demand provides access to discounted and self-pay healthcare services, meaning the expanded proposition goes beyond traditionally employer-funded benefits by providing employees with another route into health services.
Paula Constant, chief executive officer of Personal Group, said: “Our partnership with Simplyhealth is built around a shared belief that good health and wellbeing support should be accessible to everyone, whatever their role or where they work.
“Bringing Simplyhealth’s On Demand services into Hapi is an important next step. It means we can give employers a broader range of health and wellbeing support through an experience their employees already know and use, while continuing to combine digital access with the face-to-face engagement that helps people understand what’s available to them.
“With partnerships forming an important part of our growth strategy, we’re excited about the opportunity for Simplyhealth to take Hapi to its clients, helping us reach more employers and ultimately more people across the UK.”
Personal Group currently supports the health and wellbeing of around 1.25 million UK employees through its benefits, insurance and technology services.
The expanded agreement builds on a strategic partnership announced by the two organisations in March 2026. That initial deal combined Simplyhealth’s health plans and healthcare services with Personal Group’s financial protection products and face-to-face employee engagement.
The latest phase extends that relationship into digital healthcare access and creates a more integrated health, financial wellbeing and employee benefits proposition.
The development reflects a broader shift in workplace wellbeing, with employee benefits platforms increasingly becoming a gateway through which workers find and access healthcare.
For employers, bringing healthcare services together within an existing benefits platform could also help address a persistent challenge: ensuring employees know what support is available and can navigate it easily when they need it.
Paul Schreier, chief executive officer of Simplyhealth, said: “People are more likely to engage with support when it’s easy to find, easy to access and embedded into their everyday experience. This partnership reflects our ambition to create a more connected approach to workplace health and wellbeing, extending our reach and helping more people access the support they need. By bringing our services to Hapi, we have the opportunity to reach up to one million additional people, supporting our long-term vision to improve access to healthcare and wellbeing for everyone.
“For more than 150 years, Simplyhealth’s purpose has been driven by improving access to healthcare, and partnerships like this are an important way we bring it to life today.”
The two organisations said they will continue developing the joint proposition, focusing on making support accessible to employees across different roles, locations and working patterns.
The partnership is another indication of the growing role employers and workplace benefits providers are playing in connecting people with healthcare, particularly as organisations look beyond simply offering benefits towards improving awareness, access and employee engagement with them.
